Snowboarding. I love it. Droning. Love that too. When I can, I combine the two. I was lucky enough go to Leysin in Switzerland twice this year and took the opportunity to capture some beautiful alpine landscapes.
Finally got around to making up a motion graphics showreel! And here it is. It showcases just some of the work I've been doing over the last couple of years. Motion graphics / animation is an area in which I'm developing a wider skill-set, and more clients. Have a look and if you'd like some motion graphics / 2d animation for your project then I'm always open to new projects and ideas.
I was out filming at Abbotsford House, the home of Sir Walter Scott, recently in relation to an online course about the Jacobites I was filming in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh and National Museums Scotland.
So I finally got around to editing a new showreel. It shows my filming, editing, drone work and motion graphics work over the last couple of years.
One of my biggest passions is snowboarding and winter mountain life. It's the best. It's also a great opportunity for filming some stunning aerials.
I was up north again doing some aerial drone filming around the Cairngorm National Park. Managed to get some cracking winter weather, long lasting golden hours and beautiful snowy landscapes. I was really happy with the shots I managed to get.
I was lucky enough to get a the well-known hi-end hairdressing company Charlie Miller Hairdressing, for a client for an STV advert. Also lucky enough to work with talented model Tabatha Lamb for the backdrop based photo-shoot style shoot.
I was up north doing some drone filming of the Glenfinnan Viaduct and Glenfinnan Monument. Weather was a bit against me, however after waiting it out I managed to get a gap in the rain and make a short film of it.
